Moffat Beach
Unexpectedly, we just had our first weekend trip to the Sunshine Coast. It surely is one of the joys of living in Brisbane, to be able to zip up the coast in about an hour and you're at beautiful Moffat Beach. The area reminded me of Sunshine Beach near Noosa - it's not right in the heart of Caloundra, but has it's own little strip of shops including cafes and fish and chips (which we sampled over the weekend) and the beach was quite lovely. Plus it helps when you have very generous friends who invite you to stay in a glorious "resort-style" house with swimming pool, spa and tennis court (thanks Dan). The only downside was that there was a cyclone in North QLD that was creating some turbulence along the coast, but this didn't seem to deter the locals who were still out braving the conditions with their boogie-boarding or skim-boarding.
Didn't manage to capture to the photo myself, but this is the pool/spa courtesty of Next Property Group.
